The good news - I had an email from someone at Longman, who want to reprint one of my online essays.
The bad news - all the buildings in the university now have signs pointing down to the basement saying "Shelter".

"Male Logic and Women's Intuition (http://neptune.spaceports.com/~words/malelogic.html). The funny thing is that while it has aroused more interest than anything else I've written, I don't think it's one of my better pieces. I didn't do any research or even much thinking; I was just letting off steam.

Incidentally, the mail addressed me as "Ms. Turner".
