The old pizza trick

I really can't believe that the guy who was holding schoolchildren hostage in Spain actually fell for the old trick of a policeman pretending to be a pizza delivery boy. I would have thought anyone who watches action films should know that if the doorbell rings and you hear a cheery voice saying "Domino's Pizza!", shoot through the door.

The other thing in the news that tickled me was anti-smoking campaigners protesting about Die Another Day because James Bond smokes a cigar when he's in Cuba. Apart from the fact that even a confirmed non-smoker would probably try a few puffs on a cigar if visiting Cuba, we are talking about a man whose favourite pastimes are drinking martinis, shooting people, reckless driving and unsafe sex with any woman who comes across his path. And they're worried about his cigar smoking?

Incidentally, I once had a genuine, top-of-the-range Cuban cigar, courtesy of the Cuban embassy. It was divine.

I didn't know about the pizza-man scam...

Makes me think of an old Furry-Freak-Brozz cartoon where Fat Freddy gets arrested and whines on to the desk seargent to get his statutory 'one-phone-call'. Finally the sarge relents and Freddy makes a call. About 20 minutes later a pizza-man arrives at the cells asking, "Who ordered the monster pepperoni with extra cheese ?"
