When I opened Excite today, one of the links at the side said "See Sexy Britney Photos". Am I alone in thinking that there is an oxymoron in that sentence?

That reminds me, in one of her journal entries, Anna came out with the wonderful sentence

Tautologies are tautologies.

Oops. Whether through curiosity, masochism, or a deep subconscious urge pushing my mouse hand, I actually clicked on the Britney Spears link. Since I'm using one of the Windows boxen, this means that the next person to open Internet Explorer can see where I've been. Man, my credibility could be lost for ever!

There again, I'm probably logged on as somebody else anyway. I just love Windows security!

"Boxen" is the geek-speak plural of "box", meaning computer. Going against the rules of language change, geeks like to irregularise words. Another example is "Unices" as the plural of "Unix".
