Fixing things

This is true: fixing = good; not fixing = bad. No need for ethical calculus there. I'm doing well on balance today. I can't get my new caller ID phone to show incoming calls, but on the plus side, I fixed the dodgy office printer by hooking it up to the Linux box, and set up Samba shares while I was at it, so all those poor Windows users can get at our common files without having to use FTP. I've also, with a lot of help from my online friends, solved a problem that was bugging me all week: getting my course book to show short instead of long page headers in PDF output. Ah, the joy of TeX!
