I come home after a week in Marmaris with no computer, newspapers or TV, and find that the first human clone has been implanted in some Korean woman's womb, the world stock market has plummetted, and there's a 2km-wide meteor heading for the Earth.
Maybe interconnectedness has reached the point where my being online is the fulcrum of world stability. On the bright side, human cloning could be fun, a stock market crash might do something to deflate the myth of the free market, and the meteor won't reach Earth for another seventeen years.
.u'i In an RPG I once played an enforcer called Hand. He'd melt out of the shadows and introduce himself to victims saying "The name's Hand. As in invisible."
Actually I miss that character. He was a vampire and former associate of Huey Newton who was into 17th century literature. Used to say things like "Love me or kill me, bro" and "'Tis pity she a ho." (brownie points for those getting the references).
