Avoidance again

It's amazing what I'll do to put off grading papers. I was chatting to my boss when she commented that our website looked a bit dull compared with other departments. Several hours of messing with HTML and The GIMP later, here is the result. Looks OK in Konqueror and Mozilla, not sure about Evil Internet Explorer, though.

What I need now is some photographs - I noticed that a lot of other departments are so desperate for eye-candy that they include pictures of the front of the building, students sitting on benches, university events that have nothing to do with that department etc.. I'd like to get a photo of some students in a tutorial, but now classes have finished, the only way I could do it would be to email some of my students and ask them to come in and fake it.

evil IE shows a few minor problems (e.g. tabs on the FAST mission statement page) but otherwise, not too sinister

That was just an old page with broken HTML that I never get round to fixing. You're probably the only person who has ever read our mission statement (outside management)!
