Breaking Bad Dawn

I went to see Breaking Dawn last night and actually enjoyed it. What is wrong with me? I hate sparkly vampires (though I notice no one sparkles this time, even in Brazil) and I would love to see Edward staked. I lament the fact that vampires have gone from being tragic creatures, at once loathsome and charismatic, to high school crushes. I laugh at the Twilight spoofs ... but I still cannot bring myself to hate this film. OK, except for the wedding and honeymoon, which were truly awful. Other than that, I thought it was a sincere, serious film about the dangers of teen pregnancy. Dammit, there I go again - I mean it is impossible not to take the piss out of Twilight, but equally impossible to stay away.

There's something magical in that book, which I'm trying to rationalise for a while, but to no success. Guess it's just a guilty pleasure of looking at the world through the eyes of a teenage girl.
