"It’s 1 p.m. on a Thursday and Dianne Bates, 40, juggles three screens. She listens to a few songs on her iPod, then taps out a quick e-mail on her iPhone and turns her attention to the high-definition television." So goes an article in the NY Times. It's a little better than the usual "the interwebs are making us stupid" articles, but the first sentence is a giveaway. Doesn't the author know that an iPhone contains the functionality of an iPod, so the chances of someone carrying both of them are minimal?

I do...

Ipod - 120 Gbytes - IPhone - 16
Ipod - 40 hrs of playback - IPhone ?? less than a day if you make calls

But I'm a geek, I know :)

I'm the same as you. I carry both. I never bother with putting any music or audiobooks on my iPhone.

I have a Nokia phone which gives me 40GB. That's enough for me, and if it isn't, I can just get a memory card.

All other commentators are comparing their Devices to another one's, and I completely agree with the above comment, the internet is with a doubt growing into the most important medium of communication across the globe and its due to sites like this that ideas are spreading so quickly.
