A comment on Facebook from a former student: "Btw, YOU have been a major inspiration in everything I have done Robin, just wanted to say it in case I have not yet..." Now I can take my tired body to bed and sleep the sleep of the righteous.

Not sure, other than go to America and get a PhD - she's academically brilliant. I still have her first-year term paper on my website as an example to others. She also got married, but I doubt if she'd cite me as an inspiration for that ;-)

After all, with your dedication to spark students interests through their quest to accumulate the skills which can be deemed the very foundations of academic life, it would be outright blasphemy not to recount you as a source of inspiration among Bilkent community. Even though your courses are not directly related to students' departments, I can only say they were the most resourceful and enjoyable ones among all the course load I've taken up so far.

And for the fellow students that find you uninspiring, I wonder what would count as proper inspiration for them.
