What have I done?

Many years ago, we agreed in a department meeting that groups of three or four teachers would meet occasionally to look at students' work and discuss issues about grading, teaching or anything else that came up. We needed a name for these groups, so I sarcastically suggested "buddy groups". Unfortunately, it stuck.

Now I see an announcement from our sister school on the other campus informing us that "both mentoring and buddying programs were designed to support" new teachers. "Buddying programs"? I hope that I was not the cause of this abomination.
