Party Poopers

I am relieved that we have now finished studying Karl Popper, since I no longer have to keep checking that I haven't written "Pooper". At least I shouldn't have this problem with the last three philosophers on the course, John Raws, Vinil Haksar and Hannah Arent.

Funny thing, I've always suspected what got old Karl actually writing was an overriding irritation by the idiotic cocksureness of Freddy Ayer. Quite understandable, I say. If I'd have met the plummy twit at a party and he'd expounded positivist verificationism at me, I'd probably have choked him. Very restrained (if a little long-winded) on Pooper's part, I feel.
