Today several hundred thousand Turks marched to Atatürk's mausoleum in defence of Republican values. That's as in the values of the Turkish Republic, specifically democracy and secularism, so think Star Wars, not GOP.

Maybe we should start marching for democracy and secularism in the U.S. Unless it's already too late.
