robinturner: Dawn of the Dead (zombie)

Today I talked to [livejournal.com profile] maggie_lucy (with whom I'm staying at the moment) about her need for software to catalogue her humungous library. We had a quick look at JabRef, since I'm using it in writing my course book, but settled on Library Thing. Now she too will find her life-force sucked into cataloging, tagging, and browsing other people's books! Bwahahahaa!

I'd never seen that Library Thing 'til [livejournal.com profile] vexen pointed it out. Yeesh. It would take me awhile to catalog my own library, and I only have three bookcases' full!

(Maggie-Lucy's your mom, right? And didn't you just have a birthday a few days ago?)

I just began using LibraryThing, although I won't have all of my books input until after I finish school and move next year. (Secretly, it kills me that it isn't finished yet. But every time I pull a book out to read it, I input the information. This placates the OCD tendencies for a little while.)
