I still can't find a way to fix the bug in my online student registration program that allows a student to register twice if they hit the back button in Internet Explorer (no problem in Mozilla/Firefox, which is why I hadn't noticed it before). I can think of a couple of things I could try, but they are dirty hacks, and it is too late to do anything which could compromise the system as a whole. Bugger. I think I'll just put something on the entry page to the effect that using the back button will have dire consequences, ranging from not getting registered in your course to me and my friends coming round to your house with baseball bats.
