I don't fully understand where you are coming from so I'll try out this "precising definition" concept described here:
http://www.philosophypages.com/dy/p7.htm#prec
Statement 1 about american "liberals" implies that liberals do not enjoy their privileges. How could I relate that to what I understand about american "liberals"? Political correctness could be seen as a liberal concept, and it is most often used by conservatives when describing overzealous liberals. Enjoying your priviledges could also be a way of saying that you enjoy not having restrictive environmental laws impeding your "big business". I do see liberals as enjoying their fundamental "privileges" and rights and striving to protect them. I need more input to be for a precising definition to be made that is more in agreement of your statements.
Satement 2 about american "conservatives" implies that conservatives do feel they deserve their privileges. From my perspective, american "conservative" privileges that are felt to be deserved include; the government adoption and support of conservative individuals' religions, the ability to tell a woman that she can't end a pregnancy, the government support of big businesses, the creation of a massive debt that will affect generations to come, the ability to make outright lies and decieve the american people despite it being a high crime worthy of impeachment, and others "deserved" privileges which sacrifice the fundamental rights of others.

Am I wording precising definition correctly?
