Tuesday, January 8th, 2002 12:12 pmGnnn. Marking exams till three a.m.last night - this time it was not so much bad time management as that I wanted to get them all done at night so I could sleep in in the morning. I reckon my psychophysical system has high inertia: I can keep on marking papers past the point where others would have collapsed, but the idea of getting up in the morning and marking papers (to meet a mid-day deadline) is unthinkable.
Of course once the ball had started rolling (note continuation of inertia metaphor) it was hard to slow it down. Played a bit of Max Payne, but trying to run through a burning building isn't exactly conducive to sleep. Looked quickly through the VCDs I'd borrowed to check which of them had Turkish subtitles (fortunately almost all) and planned happy watching when exams are over. Read a few pages of a Lindsey Davis book. A guy gets muredered in a sacred grove. Blood on the tent awnings. Interesting stuff. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
