(no subject)

Well, I didn't make it to the restaurant, and suspect no one else did either. there was no bus into town (well, not to the right part of town) at 19:50, so I decided to go home. After stocking up on cold-weather goodies like salep (a gooey drink made from something weird like orchids) and sucuk (spicy Turkish sausage) I managed to get a bus down to the bottom of Main Campus (no buses to East Campus, where I live), then a taxi up the hill. Snow still falling (which reminds me of a lovely piece a bass player friend wrote called Stones Still Falling all done with harmonics, to which I added tinkly synth bell thingies).

Today I'm in the office again, since there is no electricity on East Campus. Not in a terribly good mood, since I slept badly and my sinuses are blocked again (which is what you get for wandering around in a blizzard when the temperature's -14 C). Still, it's warm here, and I have the Internet, so I shouldn't complain.
