Trying to get my mum on LJ

I've invited my mother to join LJ by sending her a code, but when she goes to the URL, the user name always comes up as "solri" and she can't get rid of it. Any LJ gurus out there know what the problem is?

It looks like that - I can't tell because we're on different continents. The page won't let her create a journal called anything other than solri. It's just occurred to me that there may still be a cookie left on her computer from the last time I was home, so I've mailed her instructions for deleting it.
