God, I feel so lazy. I have put the dishes in the dishwasher but I can't be bothered to take them out again. I've put some clothes in the washing machine, but can't be bothered to go down to the basement and collect them (yes, we have washing machines in the basement- my wife won't go down there because she's seen so many films where people get murdered or kidknapped in underground car parks or utility rooms).

Jason. Was he from Ft13th or Halloween? Or was that Michael Meyers? Anyway, yeah, I'd be more afraid of the rabbit. (Yes, I was thinking of Monty Python when I wrote that. *L*)

Oh, I get them mixed up. I like horror films in general, but I'm not keen on the standard slasher variety. I mean, you have a guy going round with an axe or a carving knife - why inject a supernatural element? And the slasher/chopper/stalker types always fight so badly - maybe that's why they pick on kids.

The silliest variation on this was Childsplay. OK the doll is evil, possessed or whatever, but the little bastard is still only two feet high. A good boot up the arse would send him through the window. Then there's that Hitchcock classic, The Birds. Very scary the first time round, but when I saw it again many years later, I kept thinking "Why doesn't someone get a tennis racquet?"

*L* I've never seen Childsplay. The Birds I do remember. One of our substitute teachers in the 6th grade knew Alfred Hitchcock earlier and told us all the secrets behind the making of that movie. It never scared me after that.

A tennis racket or boot up the arse would spoil the movie! You have to suspend your disbelief to enjoy it. ;)
