In March 1967, aged 18, Eno married Sarah Grenville. Their daughter Hannah, born in July 1967, is now 30.

Whoo, that makes me feel old. The last time I saw Hannah, she was a bright, quirky ten-year-old and I was madly in love with her mother. I never met Brian Eno, in fact I remember commenting on Sarah's unusual surname, and she said "Oh, I married this guy called Brian Eno - you might have heard of him." I hadn't - I wasn't a Roxy Music fan, and this was a year before "Discreet Music" and "Music for Airports" blew my little mind.

Jesus, I still can't think of Hannah as thirty years old!

If she was born in 1967, she's quite a bit older than 30 by now...

So, what's up with the NWN Linux client? Got it running yet?

The page was written in 1998.

Can't get NWN running on my box - spec is too low.

Wait, is this the part where we're supposed to ask you how you met Sarah Eno in the first place?

You can ask if you want, but I was just reminiscing to myself. For some reason, today I feel oldand tired, or like Bilbo put it, "like butter spread over too much bread."

Sarah must be about 55 now, but I'm sure if I met her again, I'd fall almost as madly in love with her as I did when I was 16. Must be imprinting or something.

OK, I'm asking! Tell me the story of your encounter with Eno progeny.

Not a lot to tell. I saw Sarah working in a wholefood shop and fell in love at first sight (hell, I was only sixteen!). She was living in a commune near Shrewsbury (my home town) with Hannah and about a dozen other people. Sarah and I became friends, but she and Hannah moved up to Leeds the following year. She was still frinds with Eno, even though they got divorced shortly after Hannah was born. Last thing I was in contact (in the 1980s) they were living in a village in Scotland.

I was never close to Hannah, although we got on OK. She was a great kid, very lively and self-confident. I've no idea what she's up to now - she doesn't seem to have left a digital footprint.

I used to know Lisa Frith.

Never met Fred tho'. Lisa assured me he's a lovely guy - "How come you're no longer with him then ?"

Never got a reply to that one...
