Date: 2003-03-26 01:22 pm (UTC)Reprehensible though it is, I don't see anything unusual here - it's normal behaviour amongst powerful men (it was rife in Stalin's day, for example). In democratic countries they have to be a bit more consensual, but the same idea applies - if you're the alpha male, you feel you have a right to all the females.
