I'm in that pleasantly tired, achy but relaxed state I often attain after a strenuous hapkido session and a few glasses of raki. I was very tempted not to go today, but dragged myself there and had a good session. Elton is going back to Albania soon, so isn't continuing with hapkido, and Philip is skiving off a lot (if a teacher can be said to skive), but Gabriela and I manage OK on our own. In fact in some ways it's better, since I don't get hurt and we get a chance to do concentrated work on the things we're weak on. My spin kicks have progressed a lot as a result; i.e., I no longer fall over while I'm doing them, and in terms of power they've gone from a feather-like caress to a light tap. Like I said, progress!

My computer, on the other hand, is not being my friend. I installed Mozilla 1.1, which is good but has yucky fonts I have yet to replace with something more aesthetic. Java is taking forever and a day to download (I need to replace my current Java with an older verison so I can talk to my bank) {why do I always type "version" as "verison"?}. The two Linux games I got off a magazine CD are refusing to install (probably built for some weirdo distro like SuSe). fstab is being its usual awkward self.

I also need to think what to do in the one hour I have with my first years tomorrow. Maybe a little Mencius.
