Anatolian Fire

Last night we went to see "Anadolu Ateşi" (Anatolian Fire), who are basically the same dance group as "Sultans of the Dance" but had to change their name for contract reasons. I was expecting something good, but was still overwhelmed. They are about to start their international tour, so if they come to your country, go and see them. We're talking 60+ dancers performing a synthesis of modern and traditional Turkish dance, with gut-wrenching music and beautiful costumes. OK, there's a dash of archaeological kitsch there too, but it's forgivable.
