Friday, April 19th, 2002 01:52 pmIt's a sign of my current extreme work avoidance that I've been hitting the random livejournal button. Results so far indicate that questionnaires of the "If you were an X, you'd be a Y" have reached pandemic proportions.
kristian is probably right that answering questions makes us feel important, because normally only famous people are interviewed about trivia.
Personally, though, I can't be bothered to go through all the clicking just to find out what vegetable or domestic animal I am. A few seconds of introspection is enough to find a satisfactory answer, and may be more revealing. So here, of the top of my head are some "If solri were an X, he'd be Y" results:
Kitchen utensil: spatula
Computer system: Beowulf cluster
Programming language: Lisp
Markup language: LaTeX
Mathematical construct: Julia set
Furniture: old leather armchair
Mythical beast: that gargoyle thingy in Ghostbusters
Musical instrument: harpsichord
Beethoven Symphony: Seventh
Shakti: Jvalamukhi
Poetic form: sonnet
Item of clothing: scarf
Note: unlike some of my pseudo-surveys, these are all genuine answers.
