Friday, September 2nd, 2005 02:32 amI am currently feeling like a Bad Person because I really don't care about Hurricane Katrina. If I were over there, I'd be among the first people to volunteer goods or services, but as it is, it's just bad weather on the other other side of the world. Sorry about that.

If this was another far away country, we wouldn't even be hearing the half of it. it's just that it's here, in the most important country in the world .
I got really moved by the london bombings. This is affecting me too, but not the same way. Not sure why. Then I know people where it was the other way around. There is no reason to force yourself to feel like everyone else.
You're not a bad person for feeling this way.
