Vanity googling

Googling on "solri" came up with my LJ userinfo as first hit, my sourceforge page, a lot of pages including the lojban word, a plant species, a piece of Star Trek fanfic, and a couple of obscure commercial products. The one that puzzled me was a Wikipedia article which read:

Solri is Lojban for sun, derived through a fairly arbitrary process from Robin = Robert = "fame-bright" in Anglo-Saxon. I am actually Robin Turner, a teacher at Bilkent University.

Obviously I wrote that somewhere, but how the hell did it get into Wikipedia?

Update: I now learn that "SOLRI" means “self-organized long-range interactions”. And the common name of that plant species? Stiff Goldenrod. Writers of fanfic please bear that in mind.

I think [livejournal.com profile] marnanel contributes to wikipedia, and also likes constructed languages.

Oh no! Such a blatant instance of plagiarism! :-)

Your writing was also cited on Languagehat, by the way.

we may be self disorganised and long range interactions even more so. But the goldenrod stands proud in the middle of the wild garden
