I haven't seen the trailer, but I remember the line from the first time I saw the film. It's one of those eternally quotable Python lines, like "It's pining for the fjords."

I've not read Stapledon, just heard the name.

I wonder if LOB is getting extra play in the states b/c of Mel Gibson's movie?

Read Stapledon if you can get past the "elevated prose". Star Maker is his best. The "Divine Boy" episode in Last and First Men is amusing too.
