Divine Visions

I've just been reading about Michael Persinger's experiments on producing religious visions by sending magnetic fields through the temporal lobes of the brain: "Jesus had been sighted … as had the virgin Mary, Muhammed, monks in hooded robes, knights in shining armor, and a Native American deity, the Sky Spirit. Out-of-body experiences had been produced, near-death experiences relived. One journalist had been transported back to his life's most transcendent moment—the time he first laid eyes on his high-school girlfriend's perfect breasts." Hallelujah to that.
