I AM IN UR DICKSHUNRIZ

I am now in the last stage of the Turkish-English dictionary, which means starting over from "A" and correcting and supplementing the example sentences my co-author has written (not to mention correcting my own blunders). Having the English author write the Turkish translations and the Turkish author write the English example sentences is not the most rational way to go about writing a bilngual dictionary, but then such things are not up to me to decide. Aside from correcting the usual mistakes that Turkish writers make (e.g. missing articles), I get to have fun adding example sentences where she couldn't think of any, didn't think it was necessary (when it was) or didn't have time. This means I can also amuse myself seeing what I can sneak through. For example, I decided that "awe" needed an example sentence, and came up with: "The American strategy of 'shock and awe' in Iraq was only half successful: it produced much shock, but little awe."
