Not the BOFH

Not all sysadmins are like the Bastard Operator From Hell. I mailed the computer centre hotline after my experience with the server refusing to upload files and replacing the old ones with empty files (the one I explained in class by saying "they cut the hardline") and got a mail from the sysadmin simply saying "I have increased your disk quota to 50MB". Whoohoo - that's a fivefold increase! Now you see why I am in love with this woman.

Order out of chaos

It's amazing how much chaos a week of the bachelor lifestyle can cause. My significant other has been away this week and is returning later today, which means I need to make a TDPDQ list (To Do Pretty Damned Quickly).

1. Wash up
2. Vacuum
3. Clean kitchen and bathroom floors
4. Eat up the fruit in the fridge that I promised her I'd eat
5. Iron
6. Cook

There's probably some other stuff, but I can't think of it at the moment. Best get going.
