Navel gazing
Saturday, April 5th, 2003 04:50 pmGot this from
entr00pi, who got it from someone else. A cut above the normal "Who am I?" type questionairres.
1.Your LiveJournal "user name" & what it means:
solri. It's Lojban for "sun". I use it for a lot of user names - I don't know why, except that it's very unlikely to be taken.
2. On a scale of 1-10 (10 being the highest) how well does your LiveJournal represent who you actually are?
7
3. How much about your life do you post to LJ?
Some, but it's more about my opinions/reactions.
4. Is there anything you refuse to post about?
Yes. I wouldn't put anything that would breach confidence, hurt someone (unless I really wanted to hurt them, and that hasn't happened yet) or bring down serious nastiness upon me. I probably won't bore people with my sexual fantasies either (anything you have read here concerning those has been tongue-in-cheek, or wherever).
5. On a scale of 1-10 how interesting do you think your own journal is to others?
No idea, maybe a 6?
6. From who/how did you find out about LJ?
The artist formerly known as faux_pas
7. Has anyone ever joined LJ because of you?
One, but he never posted anything.
8. What proportion of your posts are friends only?
Just under half.
9. What is your favorite interest on LJ?
It varies according to the poster - whetever they are good at writing about, I suppose.
10. Has anything on LJ ever caused you to establish, rethink, or even change your belief or position on something?
Yes, though it's a rare event. I'm pretty stuck in my ways.
11. How often do you respond to/comment on other peoples' journals?
Frequently.
12. Do you prefer to write in your journal, read other journals?
I generally spendmore time reading than writing. It's easier.
13. Have you ever had something mean said to you or been stalked, harassed, or got into an argument/flame war on LJ (or did it to someone else)?
Nothing serious.
14. Have you ever banned someone from your journal?
No.
15. Who are your favorite LJ friend(s) and why?
It varies. Some people I always zoom in on are
regyt,
rodneyorpheus,
barza and
entr00pi, all for different reasons. There are other journals I like a lot, but only appear intermittently, like
alexgal and
kiad, and others who are sometimes really interesting but often go off into areas I don't understand or have no interest in, like
bram. Others seem to have disappeared altogether, like
driftersonline.
16. How many of your LJ friends have you actually met?
Only
rodneyorpheus, and that was years before we were into LJ.
17. Of all of the people on LJ you know of, who is the most like you?
Nobody seems very much like me.
18. Why are you most likely to add someone to your friends list?
Interesting subject matter, good writing, cute userpic.
19. Do you automatically add friends to your journal if they add you first?
Not automatically, though I usually do so if there's something vaguely interesting in there journal.
20. What is the most likely reason you wouldn't add someone to your friends list?
No real content, just quizzes; lots of big graphics with no use of lj-cut; lots of work-unsafe content; arsehole.
21. Is your "significant other" on LJ?
No.
22. Have you ever wanted to meet someone on LJ?
Yes.
23. On a scale of 1-10, rate the LJ for convenience, usefulness, and coolness factor:
9.
