Should I ...

1. Upgrade my kernel and iptables with binary RPMS, ignoring the conflict with my old iptables? (easy to do, but could screw up the old kernel system if the new one doesn't work)
   
2. Try and compile the new iptables from source? (recommended but extremely tedious, since I probably don't have the right libraries)
   
3. Not upgrade the kernel and put up with having no supermount? (not acceptable to fellow users)
   
4. ignore this problem and go back to writing my backup script?
   
5. ignore this problem and get a life?
