I still have a big pile of term papers to read, I'm due for gumdo and t'ai chi with Gaby in half an hour, which is followed by Angel on TV (for which all priorities are suspended). So I won't get back to work until 9 p.m. at the earliest, which means that unless I can find some kind kind of temporal warp, this is going to be an all-nighter. Thank God for caffeine.

Will you allow your students to complain that you marked their papers in a last minute rush? Just as you would (to us) if they wrote them in a last minute rush! :)

All the papers that were submitted on time were marked on time - I'm dealing with the late arrivals now. As I warned my students beforehand, "I don't mind you submitting your papers late, but bear in mind that they will go to the bottom of the pile, below all the other papers I have to read, below my computer magazines, below everything, and I'll only start reading them after I've read the other stuff, and even then only if there's nothing good on TV."
