2. Frodo manages to throw the ring into Mount Doom.
3. Christ returns to the world to do battle with George Bush and/or Saddam Hussein
4. We are visited by benevolent aliens
5. As in the past, we are hit by a giant meteor, causing a wave of extinctions which will make the whole thing irrelevant.
